Jokwe made landfall during the night of 5 March 2008.
Nosy Be was hit and more than 400 people are homeless.
According to what I can gather Jokwe did not cause nearly as much damage as the two previous cyclones, Fame and Ivan.

Newspapers report that the Malagasy government requested $36 000 000 to assist in dealing with the havoc that cyclones Fame and Ivan wrought. This is the first amount mentioned, and I expect that it is going to change [...]
